Frequently asked questions

A: The seeds for the establishment of this foundation were sown on December 12, 2025. Over the past four months, as a broad consensus emerged regarding the necessity of this foundation’s existence, the process of formally establishing it moved forward through the voluntary participation of many individuals.

A: In the United States, the “Miracle 72” foundation has been legally incorporated and is currently awaiting approval as a non-profit foundation from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). We are currently in the process of applying for our “501(c) Number” and anticipate receiving approval during the second half of this year. Establishing a non-profit foundation in Korea appears to be a more rigorous and challenging process compared to that in the United States.

A: Placing special significance on the number 12—considered a number of completeness—the donation amount is set at $12,000 for members in the United States and 12 million KRW for members in Korea. Although there is a difference in value due to the exchange rate between the U.S. dollar and the Korean won, this arrangement is made possible through the gracious consideration of our U.S. members and a shared desire to offer the glory of the Foundation to the Lord.

A: When selecting the recipients of our aid, the details of the initiative are made public, and we collaborate with NGOs worldwide. Furthermore, for certain projects, members of “Miracle 72” may personally visit the locations to participate directly in the charitable work.

A: Each year, 70% of the sponsorship funds received from members are directed toward charitable causes, while the remaining 30% is utilized for events designed to foster networking among members. Consequently, the foundation’s bank balance is reset to zero (0) at the end of every fiscal year. We are currently preparing to host a conference, a musical concert, and a group trip in Korea toward the end of April, as well as the “Miracle 72 Golf Tournament” and a trip in the United States.

A:

We prioritize universal humanism and brotherhood, transcending the boundaries of religion, race, and region. Ours is a foundation that “empties itself” every year; our goal is not to enrich the foundation itself, but rather to ensure that those we serve—the recipients of our love—are the ones who are enriched. We operate with a limited membership of 72 individuals—whom we affectionately refer to as “72 Angels”—sharing in the joy of giving and dedicating all the glory to our Lord. Our membership is strictly capped at 72; we do not require or accept members beyond this specific number. As we carry out our activities and practice the spirit of giving within this foundation—guided by the inspiration received at its inception—we remain steadfast in our conviction that the Lord Himself will bring all these plans to fruition.

A: Yes, it is. A network is not merely a place to gain something, but a place to share. When we share anything—no matter how small—our hearts gain a richness that transcends the monetary value of the gift itself.

A: Yes. The foundation website is currently under construction, and a newsletter for our members will be managed by our Networking Committee.

A: The foundation exists to pursue humanitarian ideals and aims to provide relief to vulnerable populations across six continents—those who lack access to the basic necessities required to sustain life, such as clean water, food, education, and medical care. The number 4 represents the four cardinal directions of the world (East, West, North, and South), while the number 3—representing the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—signifies the realm of the heavens. When these two numbers are added together, they yield the lucky number 7; conversely, when the earthly number (4) and the heavenly number (3) are multiplied, they produce the perfect number, 12. Finally, when this perfect number (12) is multiplied by the number of target regions we seek to aid—the six continents—the result is 72. This signifies our foundation’s commitment to dedicating its love and spirit of sharing across these six continents, striving to uphold the full dignity of every human being.

A:

Yes, they are. In Korea, with the cooperation of the “Kkottongnae Non-profit Foundation,” a separate bank account has been established specifically to receive donations from “Miracle 72” members. In accordance with the decisions made by “Miracle 72,” funds from this account are directed to the places where our charitable support is most needed.

The Kkottongnae Foundation will issue and provide the necessary documentation for members to claim tax benefits on their contributions.

For members in the United States, the “Shema Stella” Foundation will serve a role parallel to that of the Kkottongnae Foundation until the official 501(c) tax-exempt status number is issued by the IRS.

A: The criteria encompass all regions and peoples suffering from a loss of human dignity. The Foundation’s “Sharing Navigation Committee” compiles a list of candidates based on recommendations received from the 72 members; subsequently, through a vote by the 72 members, between 7 and 12 specific locations are selected to receive aid sent from Korea and the United States.

A:

A Standing Committee has been established to oversee the foundation’s entire operations across both Korea and the United States. This committee consists of the Foundation Chairman, CEO, CFO, Secretary, the “Sharing Navi” Committee, the Ambassador Committee, and various Networking Committees. To facilitate communication among members in Korea and the U.S., we plan to appoint a President and a General Secretary for each respective region.

A: Yes, absolutely. The Miracle 72 Foundation can serve as a bridge, enabling you to share your love with an even wider range of recipients—an expression of your gratitude for the blessings you have received.

A. Yes. We intend to appoint individuals who can be of service to our foundation, drawing from priests, pastors, monks, and members of religious orders across various faiths, as well as other distinguished figures in society.

A: Our foundation places less emphasis on media-based promotion compared to other foundations. The reason for this is that, as we carry out our mission of giving—supported by our dedicated members and donations, and guided by our own collective decisions—we, the “72 Angels,” serve as instruments of the Lord, seeking to offer all the glory solely back to Him.
